Comments from churches visited…

“I just want to thank you for your continued faithfulness in serving the body of Christ through the talents and gift that God gave you. Members in both of our congregations have come to me and expressed their appreciation for inviting you lead worship and give the main message at the same time! We are also happy that you are very flexible. You are always able to choose songs related to the theme of the service. In Los Angeles, you came when we had Angel Tree children worship with us. Not only were they happy of the gifts we gave them but the singing added a lot to their joy. At New Life Fellowship, it was a blast! Our Palm Sunday celebration was truly special, especially when you called all the little children to join you and included them in singing and playing of instruments. While the children were happy, the parents seemed more excited. I noticed many taking pictures of their kids while they were worshiping.” (Pastor Bermie Dizon, New Life Fellowship, Pasadena, CA, April 1, 2007.)

“I wanted to take a moment to thank you so very much for coming to Milwaukee. It was great to see my congregation clap their hands -- they don't do that often. I will admit that I am a twenty-something whom has fallen in love with much of your music and I can truly say God has spoken to me many times in the past months of my life, through your music. The desire to become more of what God wants me to be, learning to fully submit to God will for my life -- it is something which is very powerful when you come to see some of what He works out for our lives. I praise God for giving you this gift. God bless you in your travels and in doing His ministry. (Sarah Vershowske, Milwaukee WI, March 17, 2007.)

“The worship service you shared with us at CrossWinds Church was wonderful. If I had to pick a word to describe what we all experienced together on May 4th, the word would be ‘joyful.’ Thanks for being part of our community and pointing us to the joy that the Father, Son and Spirit have with each other. That joy certainly overflowed into our worship service. The involvement of the children in worship was especially meaningful to all of us.” (Pastor John Novick, CrossWinds Church, Jackson MS – March 4, 2007.)

“Thanks Ross -- it was our blessing to have you with us! Your spirit of joy in Jesus is contagious. You are extremely talented, but I believe God has given you a special gift of sharing the message of Christ and how to worship Him. This past concert of praise was the best yet, because everything pointed to Him who is worthy of our praise.” (Pastor Ellis Hayden, First Baptist Church, Gladewater TX – January 28, 2007)

“We were privileged to have Ross Jutsum of “State of the Heart Ministries” in our church, Evangel Assembly, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His sensitivity and gentle spirit, combined with the scripture songs that he composed and sang were well-received by all in our church. Ross led us in worship and all comments received were positive about his ministry amongst us! I am delighted to recommend him to you!” (Pastor Wayne McNeilly, Canada -- January 21, 2007)

“Our church family worshiped and fully enjoyed our time with Dr. Ross Jutsum. His presentation was inclusive of all present. His ministry unto the Lord also ministered to the people. There was honor, praise and joy in the content. We laughed, sang, learned and lifted up the name of Jesus. There was both contemporary and traditional music for all tastes. The Gospel was prevalent throughout the service. We were glad to have united with another church to hear this servant of the Lord! We went to our homes sensing we had been with the Lord and with His people." (Pastor Terry Crownover, Garden Heights Baptist Church, Belleville, IL – May 21, 2006)

“We were wonderfully blessed to have Ross with our church and school, leading our worship services and a special concert. The Spirit of God was moving in a powerful way, as the name of Jesus was lifted high through worship and praise. All ages, from young children to seniors, were touched by God’s presence in the songs and testimonies.” (Pastor John Foss, Aliso Viejo Church of the Cross, Orange County, CA – April 30. 2006)

“Not everyone with as much musical talent as Dr. Ross Jutsum, has the ability to connect with people like he does. From the first word to the last note, we resonated with him and he with us. His presence in our church engaged children, youth, and adults in a time of worship that has us looking forward to the time he returns. Thank you, Ross, for being sensitive to the Spirit and sharing your gift with us.” (Pastor Jay Abernathy, First Baptist, Palestine, TX – April 23, 2006)

“Dr. Ross Jutsum led worship and gave a Christ-centered message at our church. I was a bit nervous about allowing someone I really didn’t know much about take over the worship service. Let me tell you that Ross led our congregation in a very vibrant and worshipful experience at all 4 services and then packed the sanctuary for a 3 P.M. afternoon praise and worship celebration. This is highly unusual for our congregation to get people to come back to church for anything after already attending church for the day. Ross was sensitive to the age ranges of our worshippers and was extremely pleasant to work with. The afternoon attendance was indicative in itself that Ross and his testimonies and message were right on target.” (Leland Lantz, Pastor, Lutheran Church of the Cross, Laguna Woods, CA – March 12, 2006)

“I appreciate the way that Ross' music and message were able to reach and inspire five generations of Disciples' worshipers; he intentionally included the children, as well as without being forceful or showy.” (Steven Staicoff, Pastor, Overland Christian Church, St. Louis, MO)

“Ross did so much more than provide music; he was God's tool to guide us in worship. Every person present was blessed, from the oldest to the youngest. His message in song certainly bears the evidence of the Holy Spirit as Ross surrendered his talents to the Lord. I would recommend any church or pastor to share in Dr. Jutsum's ministry whole-heartedly.”
(Dr. Cleve Kerby, Senior Pastor, Slaton Baptist Church, Lubbock, TX)

“Your gift of music, humble spirit, and obvious love for the Lord were a blessing. We gave you a workout with three services, but you handled it beautifully. You were able to bridge the contemporary with the traditional and both groups enjoyed the worship.”
(Dr. Tom and Andrea Messinger, Co-Pastors, First Presbyterian Church, Covina, CA)

“What a wonderful concert of praise – heart-warming, inspirational, God-honoring worship that stirred the soul and raised the spirits of every person in attendance. From young to old and every musical taste, our people left with grateful, full hearts. How can you take children from age three to seniors well into their 80's and ages in between, with varied musical tastes and appreciations and gather them together and have them leave praising God and inspired? Have Dr. Jutsum do the concert, that's how! Ross is anointed." (Dr. Larry Cameron, Pastor, Pilgrim Church, Toledo)

“When we met Ross Jutsum, of State of the Heart Ministries, we were immediately impressed with his spirit. We felt a heart-warming love and appreciation to God. He touches all ages with his testimony, and I believe also touches the heart of God by the genuine love for his Savior.” (Wanda Ross, Pastor, Foursquare Church, Des Moines, IA)

“I can't say enough what a vivid impact I believe your visit had on our Church. You brought us alive in worship and confirmed for many what we need to pursue when we gather together to offer praise to the One God. I know you fired up our worship team! You truly are that link we need as a denomination to tie us together as one big family and you link us to our brothers in other denominations.” (Bill Winn, Sr. Pastor, New Life Christian Fellowship, Richmond, VA)

“Your guidance of our worship service allowed all of us to truly drop our worldly baggage at the door and focus on Jesus. I’ve been thanking God ever since that service for the guidance He provided through the Holy Spirit for such a deeply inspiring opportunity to praise and worship Him. Thank you so much for the unity you are promoting through heart-felt, life worship.” (Roger Ferguson, Living Hope Christian Fellowship, Buffalo, NY)
